Exceeding international standards for your greater safety
Safety is at the heart of everything we do at Strix. From concept to design, testing, production and compliance with international safety standards – nothing is more important at Strix than keeping the "end-users" safe.
INTERNATIONAL SAFETY STANDARDS
All Strix products are designed and manufactured to meet relevant international safety standards and regulations and display notified body marks where compliance has been independently assessed.
Setting and exceeding international safety standards
Strix components are designed to meet all of the relevant international standards and are manufactured to consistently exceed 12,000 cycles of normal operation. Additionally, we undergo our own rigorous internal qualification testing often exceeding these standards, meaning our customers can always be proud to be “Powered by Strix”.
Safer by Design
To design and develop leading sustainable solutions, safety is paramount to achieving this. Whether it's our team or the end-users of our products, safety is always at the forefront of our business.
EXCEEDING THE STANDARDS
In addition to regulatory compliance testing, our controls and connectors undergo rigorous internal qualification testing to ensure their performance exceeds the requirements of the international safety standards.

Why counterfeit controls are not a smart solution
Strix encourages regulatory enforcement to promote the use of compliant kettles and thereby keep users safe.
Low grade kettles fitted with copy or counterfeit controls typically fail endurance tests, construction material regulations and clauses of the international control and connector safety standards which regulate their design and construction.
A flawed design, unsuitable or unsafe materials and inconsistent manufacturing can compromise safety and expose consumers' families to significant risk. Defective controls and may allow steam and water to come into contact with electric components. This adversely affects the isolation, creating secondary paths of current which can lead to electric shock, overheating and fire.
We actively monitor various kettle markets for such low grade kettles, test them and where they fail to meet the requirements of the international safety standards we report them to the appropriate regulatory enforcement authorities.
